Letter to Prospective Licensees

Dear Prospective Licensee,

Thank you for your interest in the Nelson’s Port-A-Pit® system, and of course, your patience in receiving this information. We at Nelson’s USA, have been intentionally deliberate in our expansion plans in order to ensure superiority in the development of our proprietary systems, and our operational and promotional programs for new markets. Further, we have now had ample time to thoroughly analyze our prototype (in Springfield, Illinois) and have watched it progress quite successfully through its most critical years of development. In addition to this operation, we have established a partnership licensee based in Cincinnati, Ohio, allowing us to further our development experiences in new regions of the country.

Nelson’s recommends that a licensee have cash equivalents of more than $35,000 and be capable of obtaining financing for an additional $100,000. A prospective licensee should also display a tremendous aptitude for food service, connections to the local market, and knowledge of general management. Due to the nature of the catering and fundraising business, Nelson’s also recommends that a prospective licensee be a highly energetic, driven individual with a passion to bring value to corporate and nonprofit customers alike. Because demonstration meals are critical to the initial introduction of the brand to new markets, food service experience does provide an advantage for the prospective licensee and will be considered in the initial screening process.

With more than 35 successful years of experience in the food service industry, we, at Nelson’s USA are quite confident in the efficiency of the systems developed exclusively for our licensees. Product and operational superiority offer licensees a tremendous competitive advantage in both the catering and the fundraising business. In addition, the recent creation of strategic, professionally constructed marketing tools—such as Nelson’s videos/CD ROMS, full color brochures, and a corporate web site—offer Nelson’s licensees an opportunity to make an immediate impact on their respective markets in introducing the Nelson’s Port-A-Pit brand. In order to increase the viability of an applicant becoming a successful Nelson’s licensee or partner, the company has developed a pre-screening profile worksheet for prospects meeting the financial requirements of the NFC system. Please take a few moments to fill out the enclosed worksheet and return it to:

Nelson’s USA, 607 Nelson Parkway, Wakarusa, Indiana 46573

Again thank you for your interest and we look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Sincerely,
Todd Gongwer
Chief Operating Officer
